What is it? 

EcoBall is a hands-on compost and soil education series designed for youth, parents, and community members across the Bronx.

Through workshops, field days, and friendly games, we explore topics like composting, climate change, tree stewardship, and how to care for the parks we call home.

Where is it?

EcoBall events will take place throughout Macombs Dam Park, Pelham Bay Park, and Franz Siegel Park—all located in designated environmental justice communities in the Bronx.​

Why it Matters? 

Many of our participants use NYC parks daily, but few have access to environmental education. EcoBall empowers them to be caretakers of their green spaces while having fun, staying active, and learning alongside peers and family.

We believe that play and learning should go hand in hand—and that when we “get dirty for our green spaces,” we’re building a cleaner, stronger, and more united community.
